Imran Khan, Jahangir Tareen are 'ineligible' since birth: Capt (retd.) Safdar
Safdar says that PTI leaders' disqualification by the Supreme Court will make no difference.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader retired Captain Muhammad Safdar while unleashing a verbal onslaught against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen has said that they are ‘ineligible’ since birth.
He said that their disqualification by the Supreme Court will make no difference. “If Khan and Tareen are disqualified, it will be synonymous to balancing Nawaz Sharif’s case,” he said.
PML-N MNA Daniyal Aziz maintained that both the PTI leaders confessed to their crime therefore; the nation should not be misguided.
“Not Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen but Pakistan is on trial. Concealing assets is a major crime,” pronounced Aziz.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry asserted that Imran Khan’s political career will end after SC will announce its verdict over his disqualification case.
In a statement, the minister revealed that another sit-in is being planned, adding that nation knows people who are puppets and conspirators.
On the other hand, the apex court is all set to announce verdict in disqualification cases, filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi, regarding both Imran Khan and Jehangir Khan Tareen at 2 pm today.
SC had reserved its verdict against both cases on November 14. The cases were heard by a three-member bench chaired by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar himself.
Heavy contingents of police and Rangers will be deployed in the top court. It is unlikely that the PTI chief will show up at the Supreme Court following his political engagements.
